At the top of the list of what you don’t want at your facility is a bacteria that destroys your equipment and can kill people.
Acid-producing bacteria (ABP) is a huge problem. First of all, it can cause corrosion on metal pipes, tanks, and equipment. The corrosive process in turn produces the right elements for sulfate-reducing bacteria, which makes hydrogen sulfide gas. The gas is deadly in small amounts. If ABP isn’t corroding and producing a deadly gas, another problem that it causes is a biofilm that builds up on equipment and restricts the flow through pipes as well as the functionality of other machinery.
What do you do if you suspect you’ve got ABP? You call ChemFlo. We will test your production water to figure out what type of bacteria you have and which kind of biocide, and determine the proper dosing you need to kill it. Best of all, getting rid of the bacteria will save you money in repairs and replacement. And you won’t have to worry about killing the people who work for you.
